Louis Dreyfus TravOcean is an internationally recognised marine contractor with more than 40 years experience in the field of submarine cable laying and rtenching. The company is today operating the largest fleet of trenching tools in the world, with a full range of burial equipment designed to deal with all kind of soil conditions. Since 2010, Louis Deryfus TravOcean has buried more than 700 array cables on various ofshore windfarm projects in UK, Denmark and Germany. All in all, nearly 700 kilometre of cables were successfully buried and are now well protected.

Louis Dreyfus TravOcean is part of the Louis Dreyfus Armateurs group (LDA), one of the first French shipping companies and the market leader for telecom cable installation with the operating of seven cable ships and more than 30,000 kilometre of telecom cable laid a year.

Louis Dreyfus TravOcean position within the cable installation industry has progressively diversified in the offshore oil and gas, in the submarine telecommunication cable and naturally nowadays in the renewables.

With its presence in the Netherlands and with its offshore operational base in Dunkirk (2,500 square metre covered space in the harbour zone, with direct access to the sea), Louis Dreyfus.

TravOcean is located very close to both its European customers and the work sites in the Northern seas.

The company has greatly developed over the years its know-how in the laying and protection of submarine cables, with acknowledged expertise both in the design of burial systems (trenchers, ROVs, jetting vehicles, fixed and vibrating ploughshares) and in their worldwide operation out at sea.

Specifically, Louis Dreyfus TravOcean has launched in 2017 a new jetting system, the ROVJET 1200 with an increased trenching power. 2018 will see the ROVJET 1600 being put into service, as well as the TM05, a new trencher for hard soils specially designed for the array cables of offshore windfarms.
